*PERSONAL PERSPECTIVES ON VAMPIRISM*
Eris
Section 1 : Beliefs and Definitions
Define vampire and vampirism.
The draining of life energy (of fluids
as the case may be) from another individual or being. This is not
necessarily from a human or animal, but energy can be drained from
nature or anything that contains energy. The person that does the
draining is the vampire.
Would you define vampires as human or non-human?
Vampires are
definitely human. I don't buy into the movie stuff.
Do you believe that there's more than one kind vampire? If so, what do you think those kinds are and what defines them?
Yes. There are blood
drinkers, and energy consumers. These are pretty self explanatory I
think. I have not found any further distinctions that I can credit.
Section 2 : Traits
Do you believe vampires are born, made, or some of each?
I believe
vampires are born vampires, but there are a lot of wannabes, and it
can be hard to tell the difference sometimes.
Do you believe non-vampires can be turned into vampires?
No. The
difference is that a true vampire really needs the substance they feed
from. It can be a matter of survival. A non-vamp can have withdrawels
from them, but it's not really a need as much as a strong desire.
If you think non-vampires can be turned into vampires how might that be accomplished?
I think it's possible in theory. If a person
believes in anything strongly enough, they can make it true in their
world, but that's mainly philosophy. Do I believe it in practice…no.
Do you think there are certain traits that all vampires share? What are they?
If a self-proclaimed vampire doesn't exhibit these traits how would you classify them?
Only the vampire truly knows if they
really are a vampire or not. I think in general vampires tend to be
nocturnal in nature, possibly a tendacy to the darker side of life,
and may have light sensitivity. It must be noted, however that
everyone is an individual, and each individual will have their own
traits. The one thing that all vampires share is the need to feed.
It's what makes them a vampire.
Section 3 : Sang~Psi~Self-Perception
How do you know you're a vampire, or if you're not, what would make you think someone else was one?
A STRONG NEED for something…energy or
blood usually…not just a desire, fascination, ect, but a need. You
could tell a vampire by their need.
If your definitions include "energy," define "energy."
If
not, what do you believe the vampire draws sustenance from?
Tough one…energy can be
called by many different names. I've heard Karma, Chai, ect.. I
believe energy is the life force that binds the world together in both
people and things..it is the thing that makes things…alive…
Have you ever consumed blood? If so, how does doing so effect you?
No
but if it's anything like consuming energy, it gives a kinda hyper
estatic euphoric feeling…It's like a super adrenaline rush…kinda…
Do you believe in "psychic/psionic" abilities?
If so, do you think vampires have enhanced abilities in this area?
Yes, I believe in them,
but I'm undecided about whether vampires have them or not..I don't.
Do you believe that all vampires need to consume blood or that some can feed by tapping energy directly(psionically)?
Some
vampires..myself included consume only energy.
Section 4 : Spiritual and Social
Do you follow a particular spiritual path and if so what is it?
THAT's
a work in progress…
Does your spirituality or religion have any relationship to vampirism?
Do you believe that vampirism has a religious context or is a religion?
Do you believe in physical immortality, and if so can vampires be immortal?
What about spiritual immortality?
No, I don't belive in
physical immortality, but yes, I do believe in spiritual immortality.
We are all spiritually immortal, humans and vampires and whateverelse
you are..we're ALL spiritually immortal..we just don't know it in this
form.
as a whole.
What do you think would be the ideal relationships between vampires and society? What do you see the real relationship between vampires and society as being?
Don't have much opinion on this one…To each
their own..
Do you think there should be an overall community or organisation for all vampires?
If so how should it be structured?
If not, why not?
I
think at the minimum communication and education is a good idea for
safety sake among other reasons..
